Description: Walk from Dhu Varren train station to Portstewart via coastal path, stopping for (packed) lunch at the Herring Pond and then on to Portstewart Strand.

Option 1 : Walk ends at Harry's Shack - Distance: 7 miles

Option 2: Extend walk part way along the Strand and through the sand dunes. - Distance: 9.5 miles

Train times: Depart Grand Central Station at 9.10, Lanyon Place at 9.20 (change at Coleraine) Arrive Dhu Varren Train Station at 10.53. (Toilets on train)

Return to Coleraine station by bus (140 Service), from Strand Road, Portstewart, 10 minutes walk from Harry's Shack. Buses every half hour, e.g. approx 3.00, 3.30 etc. 15 minutes to Coleraine station. Belfast trains leave Coleraine at 19 minutes past the hour
