Change of route -2 Dams Walk Silent valley Mountain Park

 (Due to erosion of the trail up Moolieve making the ascent/descent very challenging).

(Maybe an NTM plus walk next year)

So, the walk on Thursday will be from silent valley carpark following the red trail through the wood and then the main roadway past the exit of Binnian tunnel to the end of the silent valley reservoir. Banana break here then onwards towards Ben Crom dam. Lunch beside the river.  Carry on to the base of Ben Crom and if you wish ascend the  260 steps to the top of the dam. Return to the car park via the café and the lake.

  6 miles approx. mostly flat linear walk, Boots recommended as the woodland section can be muddy. Poles optional packed lunch for the riverbank, coffee and buns in the café on way back.
