Meet at Donard Car Park, Newcastle, for a 9.30 am start.

Follow the Glen River up to the Mourne Wall, where we turn right and ascend Slieve Commedagh. We then head north to Shan Slieve, then descend to Slievenamaddy and down to join the Glen River at the Ice House. We then return to the carpark. Distance: about 10 km.
